Have you heard? The UN has released 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) they hope will act as a blueprint to achieving a better and more sustainable future for everyone and the planet (United Nations Sustainable Development, 2018). The SDGs cover a range of issues, including climate, poverty, inequality, peace and injustice.
In support of the SDGs, the UN also produced 'The Lazy Person's Guide to Saving the World', which is a really useful and easy to follow guide on how we can each make small changes to our daily routines and lifestyle to help save the world. Made up of four levels, the guide suggests practical and achievable advice for every level of commitment; starting with things you can do from the sofa, working upwards to in the home, outside and in the workplace. If you are looking to lead a more sustainable lifestyle, these SDGs and the lazy guide are a great place to start for information.
In my work section you will see that one of my uni projects was designing a poster in response to one of the goals as part pf the 'Poster for Tomorrow' competition. I chose climate action, as it is a subject close to my heart. You can read more about the design challenges and my approach in the poster's dedicated page.
