The Brief

This illustration work was carried out as part of a second year student self promotion project. After trialling concepts based around my name and initials, I experimented with the abstract concept of a studio name inspired by Joey.

 

The Approach

Starting with a photograph I used the ProCreate app on my iPad Pro I used various brush styles, widths and colours to create the final illustration, which was then edited in Adobe Illustrator to create the flat version used in the studio's logo. As I'm a great believer in transparency and honesty, I have included the iPad's time lapse video for your perusal and entertainment.

Note: This project was completed as a student brief, and was not commissioned by Joey, although he is rather chuffed at being the face of the studio. So far the fame doesn't seem to have gone to his head...let's hope it stays that way!
